The Great TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge 2008
Once again the TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge has found its masters and of course left a trail of official devastation.
On 29th November, the tin racers tore along the LTU arena to take part in the "TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge". Hidden behind the exciting name is a wild car chase where everything is allowed which is otherwise taboo in road traffic: shoving, speeding, pushing, ramming.
The initiator of the show is TV entertainer Stefan Raab, who has already caused sensations with spectacular events, such as tower jumping and the WOK World Championship. Once again this year, Stefan Raab put up a good and merciless race against sporting greats and members of the music and entertainment industry.
For the first time in 2008, the Crash VIPs raced through the Düsseldorf LTU arena. The racing circus itself has already taken place for the fourth time.
Excitement and action were there for you to enjoy at the TV total Stock Car Challenge and best of all: AM Shoes let its own team go at the start. Even though we didn't win, we were nevertheless fast, furious and crazy.
Overall 30 crash pilots in ten teams and three racing classes (3000, 1900 and 1500 cc engine capacity) challenged each other in the LTU arena in Düsseldorf this evening.
Apart from Stefan Raab's eternal competitor Joey Kelly, ex box heavyweight Axel Schulz, racing fox Hans-Joachim "Striezel" Stuck, comedian and moderator Elton, actor Axel Stein, singer Giovanni Zarella, sports commentator Frank Buschmann, TV host Alida-Nadine Lauenstein and the reigning Stock Car champion Christian Clerici, were also at the start.
Of course, the organiser himself also got into the cockpit in order to regain his title in the Royal Class of 3000 cc and over after two years. Unfortunately, luck was once again not on his side. As in the year before, the title in the Royal Class went also in 2008 to Christian Clerici.
Although the AM Stock Car Team didn't win in any of the three racing classes and couldn't lift the trophy in the Rodeo either, everybody had a lot of fun and thanked the organiser for the exciting event and the great atmosphere created by 40,000 onlookers!
On 29th November 2008, numerous celebrities from music, entertainment and sports met for the TV total Stock Car Challenge in the Düsseldorf LTU arena.
In spite of their athletic drivers team, which was made up of Axel Schulz, Thomas Muster and Mario Basler, the AM Stock Car Team had not been able to win in any category. Overall, however, the event’s results were a great success: spectacular somersaults, vehicles ready for the scrap heap, burning bolides and plenty of adrenaline!
